A reception to launch the Green-History project to members of the Green Party of England and Wales was held during the Friday evening of their Autumn Conference at Bristol City Hall.
Over 100 people attended and heard from Steve and Jean Lambert, Keith Taylor, Caroline Lucas and Lesley Whittaker as well as an introduction to the project by David Taylor and Roger C-O. Lesley is a founder of the party since 1972, Steve joined in 1973 or 1974, Jean and Keith are Green MEPs, and Caroline a Green MP.
An exhibition of some material from the project relating specifically to the Green Party and its predecessors was presented - unfortunately it was not possible to leave the exhibition displayed for the duration of conference. It is also presented here for those who were unable to finish browsing it or who were unable to attend.
It provides a partial and highly selective summary of some of the material relating to the political party. As a result of the event we have now been given a lot more material which will be appearing on this website over the coming months be sure to sign up for the nearly-monthly email to be informed what is coming and when.
N.B. the tables of Leaders and Conference Location have already had some updates since they were printed for the exhibition - the most up to date information is on the main article pages for Leaders & notLeaders and Party Conferences and not on the panel images or PDFs which are a snapshot of the exhibition.
